Does anyone know when and where these will be held this year?
Any details?
Thanks

Re: Harvester Relays
There will also be a middle distance race on Clydach Terrace on the Sat afternoon. For those of you not at Creoso, this is a really technical area of old spoil heaps a few miles from Merthyr Common, ideally suited to a middle race.
For those of you who did go to Croeso, hopefully the rain will stay away and you can just enjoy the orienteering.

Re: Harvester Relays
Clydach Terrace will be a super middle race area - it was covered (map and routes) in OCT08 issue of CompassSport - Welsh 6 days report. Well worth a look.
In addition - 2010 Harvester is 'very provisionally' going to be at Eridge Estate (JK08 Relays area) organised by Saxons and possibly planned by myself - or hopefully not
!! We looked into doing it in 2009 but timings didnt work out. To have it in Wales will be super. Glad somebody took it on.

Re: Harvester Relays
Thought it worth emphasising that Clydach Terrace will be a Level 2 (Middle Distance) event.
A provisional flier for the weekend can now be downlaoded from the SWOC site

Let's hope so. Although I fear rain and hill fog is equally likely - at least that would enhance the orienteering challenge

Re: Harvester Relays
My recollection of Croeso is that the area was so good that the rain did not detract from enjoying Clydach Terrace - so bring on the weather. The terrain will make it worth the trip in any weather

hop fat boy, hop!

I concur Madmike - 2 great areas. I'm almost tempted to make the long trip.

Indeed, I may well turn up for the Middle even if my club can't raise a team for the Harvester.

Re: Harvester Relays
There are some keen people from Kent. We're moving the final Kent Orienteering League event to avoid a clash with the Harvesters.
We'll have to see if 26 night events in Kent is sufficient preparation for Merthyr Common!

Re: Harvester Relays
Entries for both the Harvester on Merthyr Common (20/21 June) and the middle race on Clydach Terrace (20 June afternoon) open 1 May on the Fabian4 site. Initial closing date is the 6 June.
Should be a good weekend so start getting your teams organised.

Re: Harvester Relays
Just a prompt to get this back up the top of the list
Closing date is 6th June - not many entries so far so don't miss out on a cracking weekend. I know it clashes with the Stockport race so there's lots going on that weekend.
Thanks
Phil

Well with 24 hours to go for Scottish relay entry closure we had about 2 teams, but finished with a great turnout - so here's hoping for you.
