
Are these old jobs - in which case why are people resigning at such a rate?
Or are they new posts - in which case how did we manage before them?
I guess they are being paid for by some mystical pot of money from some central funding body (ie not us - or not us directly anyway) so I guess that's a good thing but as the number of paid jobs in the sport rises it will be interesting to see what impact they have on the volunteer sector.
I sometimes wonder whether the advent of paid development officers made volunteers pull back from the task a little with an element of:"Why should i do it when they are being paid?" - or even - "why should I do their job for them?"
Anyone got any thoughts on the matter.
