I'm not so sure what's going on with the Wyre Estuary - possibly a consequence of the peculiar partial postcode ("FY5 5")?

That was a "partial" postcode gleaned from Multimap. I have now edited it to read FY5 5LR, which is a group of houses about 100 yards from the entrance to the park. Strangely the flag is still in the sea, while if I search using that postcode as my home it correctly shows the little house symbol in the right place.

Does anyone know how this could be working?

I think it is worth mailing BOF as the database driving this will contain both coordinates for the registered map and the one that you add/edit for the event. It may be pointing to the wrong one? I also noticed that the GR link from the events diary doesn't work for this event because it has a space in it. It would be worth editing that first.

Looks like CLOK have also got their co-ordinates wrong for the Goathland event on 22 Feb. On both the BOF and O'Brien sites the event is shown alongside the River Trent in Lincolnshire.

This did get fixed on my old map, but the switch over to the new BOF list happened shortly after, so the update got lost. Correct procedure as far as I understand now is to contact the fixtures secretary of the organising club.

Thanks I think I have the event in the right place, back on dry land now. The problem seemed to be related to not having selected a map from the database and either the postcode or more likely the grd reference not being read correctly, as you suggested.
I found another problem where two events at that same location on different dates resulted in only the later event being shown on the map. I have emailed BOF and this has now been swapped to show the earlier event. This would affect any club having events in the same location less than 10 weeks apart.

I had no idea the Wyre estuary country park extended so far. Or is there an especially low tide forecast for the 14th of March?

I have heard tell of there being a canoe O here in the past - but unfortunately only after the event had taken place.

Zokko- thanks for spotting this as well. It affected the LEI Saturday morning events at Outwoods.

Also LEIs L3* event on Sunday is hidden behind an smaller event (L3) using the same car park but adjacent area next Tuesday morning!

(L3* = Pre-marked, waterproof, seven courses and string, electronics, toilets, live results, cafe, bar, pub over the road, M21 planner, happy officials, sunlit forests etc etc )
