To quote from http://www.dvo.org.uk:
"The Lindop event is going ahead. Come and enjoy the Peak District at its best. The access roads are all clear, there is about 3 inches of snow on the area so expect it to be tough. Arrive early, not only is there a walk to the start, the car parking is icy - take care! Also we expect to close registration at 11:30 and the start at 12:00 to give us time to collect the controls before the forecast afternoon snow."
We have some very high access fees to pay so hope a good number turn up.

Congratulations on getting into Lindop again. I remember seeing the 1970s map and hearing the stories. Hope the access fees were not too onerous.

... and the event went really well. The car park was not a real problem - except that so many came it made it difficult for 'normal' visitors. The snow conditions made it 'interesting', though I thought it made it easier through the brambles and other undergrowth, and it was quite magical in parts.
Congratulations to the officials on keeping the event on and providing such a quality event.
