Jk camp site
Is there one? It says in the brochure there will be some campsites exclusive for the JK -details on the website - but there is just a couple of small campsites listed - which will probably fill up very quickly - is there some special camp site in the pipeline or had i better book one of these? All advice appreciated.

Re: Jk camp site
We have been offered the use of the West Kyloe site - it is small but if it looks like there are good numbers it can be extended to cope e.g. supply of Portaloo in addition to existing facilities. Web site http://www.westkyloe.co.uk/ and mention to Mrs Smalley that we have been discussing with Mr Leyland.

Thanks Colin - i was hoping for something with a bar, a ceilidh and a quiz rather than an extra portaloo
.
Never mind - i've booked a cottage in Alnwick instead - lets hope there are some good pubs in the vicinity

Sorry about that - the decision was made not to have an official JK campsite some time ago. Hope your accommodation is good - our first ever trip to Northumberland was in the early 80s to the JK - we hired a freezing cottage in Beadnell. I never imagined we would a) end up living here and b) organising the next JK in the same area
BTW I may run at your night event on Saturday if I time a journey from Morpeth to Bristol properly!

Mrs H, did you manage to book for 3 days? I spent over 3 hours on line on Sunday morning trying to find a cottage for a 3-day let but eventually had to settle for a static caravan on a park at Wooler.
