Regarding club info, I sent an email today and the UWOC page was updated today. It still says "Open Club" and the web-address was mis-typed but I've sent another email and expect that to get fixed. So if you ask, your club's page will be updated.
I asked them to remove the (very old) phone number and just leave email available.
Re. searching for clubs, "UWOC" and "Warwick" get UWOC, but "EWOK" doesn't find EWOK (but "Warwick" does). It's a new site, things are bound to be wrong, the best way to get them fixed is to email and let them know.
[I'm a big fan of using as few acronyms as possible on anything non/new orienteers might read]
does anyone know if there is a new RSS newsfeed? The old one has stopped working.
British Orienteering website

Found the permanent course locator. It works
However the courses from my club are missing
Our secretary said he'd filled in the forms, so you might want to check whether your clubs courses have appeared. The locator is linked from a slightly illogical spot under "new to orienteering", perhaps should be linked from "events" too or from the homepage.
I've emailed BOF these comments.

Instead of all the complaining about things being wrong on the club info pages.... we should have a little competition to see which club is the last to have its details changed!!
Just get an email off to Nicole at BOF and get your details changed. Send her your club logo as well so it can go on the page. I suspect it is easier to 'pen' a complaint on here than email BOF.... but there is always the possibility of a change in attitude!!!!

Hope you are also sending your constructive comments to BOF so they can put things straight.
This time yesterday the WCOC club entry suggested they didn't have a website, didn't do CATI events and worryingly had no club kit (bit cold up on those hills). By late yesterday all was corrected aswell as a club logo, guess as a result of a club member (RJ?) contacting BOF.
Distracted, thanks for the comment about passwords, solved my problem.

Passwords were sent out by post a while ago.
Re: rankings, I couldn't find anywhere to upload them either. Presumably it's coming as part of the new results system. I have emailed to ask if there's a way to submit the results in the meantime.
Thanks to Graeme's post about Google cache I've found the old ranking submission page here: http://ccgi.orienteering.plus.com/ranki ... nksub.html but I've no idea whether this will still work with the new site. I'm planning to give it a go when I get home anyway.

Can't believe how negative all these comments are! The old site was a complete embarrassment and the new site is a massive improvement that looks great, is logically set-up and has the potential for many good features.
Only a group of orienteers could get so bogged down in the detail!

yea, orienteers can be grumpy, but the comments are just what the site needs. Websites need user feedback to identify faults and things that dont make sense. No testers will ever find all faults and no designer will ever produce a perfect design.
Overall I dont detect a "what a waste of money" sentiment - quite the opposite, only people pointing out faults. Harmless.

We clearly have a different definition of "all" and "negative". Most of the feedback that has been given can be used to improve the site even more. And don't forget there will be a good number of people giving feedback to BOF who don't post on here.
As Sean C says, all sites need feedback and all sites will evolve over time.
