There are some good photos on the WOC website for day 3. No doubt missed some but

I have to agree totally with EddieH about the internet coverage. Maybe we were spoiled by Denmark last year, but WOC should be a shop window to the world, not just an insular competition for the elite and those in the know.
I am running a one man crusade on a multi-sport website that I'm involved with, to take orienteering to the great unwashed and try to show them what a complete sport it is. I had hoped to give numerous update reports of results, and was encouraging people to get on the WOC website themselves to share in the excitement of live feeds etc. But I gave up at a very early stage and am now keeping my head down until the end of the week, when I will try to resurrect something with a big report after it has all finished.
I'm sure it is still a great competition if you're lucky enough to be there, but that isn't the point. Another huge opportunity missed by a sport that misses more than most.

Well done Eddie for spotting those!I couldn't find them, only 1 of Helen and 1 of Dave Peel. It is very difficult to pick out GB kit as there are so many other similar ones. We need something distinctive - plain colours, perhaps with 1 colour bottom and 1 or 2 colour top that stands out. Suppose I'll be called boring now

The WOC organisers have obviously been listening to the moaning about live results... but gone too far. They already have a link up for live middle distance results for tomorrow, but have used some funny 12 hour clock, and the results suggest most runners have already started and their clock is ticking. Oops. Either that or they have introduced night-o at WOC. I'm sure they'll sort it out for tomorrow morning....
