inspiration.
why is it that when someone tries to post something meaningful and inspirational some people feel the need to pick it apart like some crazed english teacher. the point is that it it is about what it takes to get to the top. this is something that pantani did before he ultimately turned to drugs (although these wer largely recreational anyway and not performance enhancing i think). i personally thought it was a great post, better than the moaning crap that a lot of people post on here!!

um, he might have died of cocaine poisoning, but the disqualification from the 99 Giro was for failing a blood test (= EPO)
and previously he'd been found to have massively illegal red blood cell counts when in hospital after a crash in 95 (or maybe 96) - certainly before he won the Tour
