There was discussion on here shortly before the JK about attempts to attract media interest. Was this successful?
The first thing any potential sponsor will ask is “what’s in it for me?” If future sponsorship negotiators can show examples of media publicity/exposure achieved at prior events, it will make the sport more attractive. Could a glossy page of publicity clippings be generated?
From the various comments and suggestions that were forthcoming, were any of them more successful than others in this case? If newspapers, tv, etc declined to come along, did they give reasons? It may be something that organisers can look to address in the future to become more attractive to them
