a decent university usually helps.
Good point Rob, your first choices were Sheffield and Newcastle, right? Let's see how decent they are then shall we?
2006 THES Ranking:
Edinburgh: 33rd
Sheffield: 102nd
Newcastle 133rd
2006 AWRU Ranking:
Edinburgh 52nd
Sheffield 69th
Newcastle 151st-200th (didn't even get a full ranking...)
Newsweek Top 100 Global Universities Survery
Edinburgh 47th
Sheffield 70th
Newcastle 97th
Voted "best place to be a student in the UK, 2006" in an independent survery by accommodationforstudents.com
Edinburgh has the 3rd largest financial endowment behind Oxford and Cambridge
So I do hope you were not insinuating that Edinburgh is not a decent university...
begins with j and ends with oke
anyhow, edinburgh dont do geography and maths, and i feel scotland is too far away for me (ruling out glasgow, the only scottish institution doing my course)

You could do geography WITH maths in Edinburgh...i'm sure...
I want to walk up the side of the mountain, I want to walk down the other side of the mountain. I want to swim in the river, lie in the sun. I want to try being nice to everyone.

the difference is really if it was physical or not though
and that it has to be 50/50, or more maths
but thanks for pointing that out.

I think Oxford interviews went OK, and I met someone very like Robf.
I also have an offer from Manchester now, AAA. and an interview at Leeds at the end of January

G, judging that your recent samples of the edinburgh party experience have been due entirely to your paralytic state and desperation. More restrained, sensible and content students which represent the majority will most definately find the nightlife unrivaled.

dj you certainly weren't restrained, sensible and content when you were running down the street shouting 'lets go sleazing!!'
