The Alternative to World Cup Thread

We went to see Midsummer Night's Dream in Ludlow Castle, which started at 4pm yesterday. Not necessarily the best choice, given we were sitting in the full glare of the sun, and I was getting backache from the rubbish chairs by half-time, which led to us spending the second half sat on a grass bank at the back. Was also somewhat disappointed to find we hadn't managed to totally miss the footie from the sounds of the cheers and groans coming from the pubs when we left. Very surprised to see a few football shirts on people at the performance, but all was revealed when I realised one bloke had a radio with earpiece!

All rounded off nicely with a super pub meal on the way home with no sign of any footie fans drowning their sorrows (after the event I planned in the morning going off much better than I expected). All in all I had a very good day
