Colchester

I'm spending a few days in Colchester at a conference. Does anyone know any good places to go running around there? (or is there anyone to run with?)

Colchester and good places to go running . . .hmmm. Assuming you have a car then go out to Dedham Vale - the river is very pretty - Dedham to Flatford and back is nice, or around East Bergholt. I am biased because that's the area I live. If you just want a small jog then there's Castle Park in the town centre but it'll be full of people. Highwoods Country Park is also a good bet, or the University of Essex campus out towards Wivenhoe. Not sure re. people to run with - think most of us are no longer based in Essex.

if you run into the town centre you could do some good interval sessions running away from the chavs throwing bottles.
