Song Name: Here Come the Socceroos
Writer/ Performer: John Duffin
Socceroos, socceroos
the lawful combination of man and kangaroo
Socceroos, socceroos - Here come the socceroos!
The longest wait is over now our Soccer’s back on track
We’re stoked that Hiddink’s horn-toads have put Oz back on the map
So have another stubby and give your mate a slap Here come the socceroos…
“Root me rigid, take a squizz at this, strewth mate, stuff a duck
We’ve only made the finals of the FIFA world cup
To win now all we have to do is score some goals for luck
Here come the socceroos…
Socceroos, socceroos
we’re the wonders from Down Under and we’ll show you what to do
Socceroos, socceroos - Here come the socceroos!
In Brazil, they ‘re busy waxing, Croatia’s in a spin
In Japan they will be wond’rin if they can ever win
So, don’t you bother spewin’ mate, ‘No worries, she’ll be right’
The socceroos will score the goals they need to… on the night
Socceroos, socceroos
the boys from Oz are over and they’re gonna drink your booze
Socceroos, socceroos - Here come the socceroos!
So put away your sunnies and bring along your swag
We’ll drink a slab o’ tinnies and raid the tucker bag
We can watch the late night telly, the game’s live on SBS
And see the Ozzies hold their own, taking on the best
Soccerooed, socceroos
watch the games on telly with a massive slab of booze
Socceroos, socceroos. And we’ll get soccerooed!
From the Rock to ol’ Coat Hanger, Bris Vegas to the bush
We’ll all be watching telly when the ‘Roos hold up the cup
So have another stubby and shout it all out loud
“Holy snapping duck ****, our lads have done us proud
Socceroos, socceroos
the boys from Oz are over and they’re here to drink your booze a
Socceroos, socceroos - Here come the socceroos!
Socceroos, socceroos
we’re the wonders from Down Under and we’ll show you what to do
Socceroos, socceroos
Holy Soccer, What a Shocker, We’re the socceroo-oo-oos
the winners werent half as good.

Song Name: Green and Gold
Writer/ Performer: Freedom of Thought
It’s been a long time
Should’ve seen it coming miles away
It’s been a long time
Things have finally fallen into place
I’ll never forget my history
I’ll make my own destiny
Wear green and gold proudly
So many different cultures
Living together so beautifully
So much heart, so much passion
It just makes me want to scream
I wanna jump and scream
In a stadium full of Australians
It’s been a long long time
Now we’ve finally made it down the road
It’s been a long long time
And Johnny warren hs had told us so
It’s been about 32 years
But the curse has finally broke
And now it’s been spoken
That we’re here to stay
I’ve never seen so many people
Jump and scream in a stadium
I know I am, you are, we are Australian
I wanna jump, I wanna scream
In a stadium full of Australians
I wanna jump and scream
In a stadium full of Australians
Wearing my green and gold
socceroos!!!!!

So the Socceroos the team you're following since Ireland didn't make it
Tis a good song! If only they were in the Eurovision!

I want to walk up the side of the mountain, I want to walk down the other side of the mountain. I want to swim in the river, lie in the sun. I want to try being nice to everyone.

yes I agree, definately a disappointing result.
I watched most of the series.
there was one song which I can't believe made it to the semi's: "heroes and dreamers"
I think they missed the point that these are supposed to be songs sung by a drunken stadium crowd, not poofy little pop singers.
