Something was brought up at tea time tonight that could revolutionise orienteering.

We already have the FCC series for young aspiring runners. But What about the mothers? They trail round all theses events so we can try and rack up points. Dont they deserve a bit of the glory?

What was suggested was the MCC The Mothers Champions Cup. It should work in theory as they as the mums of people in FCC tend to all be the same age i.e W45/50. I reckon it could be pretty good. Mrs Tullie for one says shes up for it .

Any thoughts?

Mharky forgive me if I'm wrong but does Sarah Dunn have offspring who are competing in the FCC. I believe I know a fair number of the Kids taking part in Fcc but I don't know of any Dunns but then I'm not up on the Scottish Scene, I know the names but not the people.

I don't think Mharky quite understands Andrew suggestion Or perhaps he's feeling a bit left out!

I'm sure Mrs Sminty would give it a go and Helen's mum and of course Anne's, Jo's, Calum's, and Rhodri's!

I might ask Mr H. to make another trophy like he did for the junior run in comp.

Mind you! I think Mrs Tullie - as the mother of an FCC legend (dead -heating brothers in the final) needs to organise it
