There may have been some close competitions but when the full might of SOS is out in the forest there ain't anyone in East Anglia gonna even come close.
Oh and the CSC is definitely a good idea, club spirit is one of the things that is going to keep new participants in the sport and needs to be encouraged

We know that we probably won't win, but we are going to try to spring a surprise. This reply shows the lengths we have to go to to get a full team from our very small club.

Watch out FVO, CLYDE and ESOC!

ah yer lucky there's no euoc team, we whooped your asses at the east of scotland club champs - and that was with our 3 runners (although checking you only had 3 runners too...)

Yep! Harlequins care too - even poor old Mr H. is running a brown - must be a first - although Master H. is running a light green and the Misses H. are both running orange to make up for it - little'uns should score points so don't count your chickens OD

Compass Sport Cup does anyone care
Helen stated that SARUM do. Well perhaps that is their raison d'etre as they have basically persuaded juniors from all over the south west to join to be competitve in relays etc. I'm sure there would be an outcry if all the WMids juniors joined the same club to get competitive relay teams.
Seriously the CSC doesn't encourage large scale club support unless members are motivated by captains etc as most ordinary runners don't stand a chance of scoring. Perhaps the CSC should be inter regional with regional selection across the classes. How can our lovely M75 score on a green!!! when fit M18's like Gazza run Light Green.

only 3 juniors have actually moved to sarum, one of whom practically lives nextdoor to the chairman. the reason we have so many juniors is because most of them were already in sarum to start with. and its not just for relay teams, its the whole club atmosphere, training and encoragement.

Who Cares??
Well there's always next year!!!! Walton Chasers do it again (boo), BOK second and the mighty OD 3rd, HOC and DVO tie for last (sorry - 4th).
We had great results in some categories notably mens' open and not so good in others.
Oh well it's behind us now - roll on BOC and JK relays!

we had premarked maps!!
actually DVO beat HOC becuase DVO had more of the higher positions - each team had no 1sts but DVO had one 2nd and HOC didnt. DVO triumph over HOC. HOC needs to improve for next year to compete against WCH, BOK and the mighty OD
