Now now guys, we don't want another big EUOC/ShUOC war of words. The orienteering's done the talking for this year, if ShUOC want revenge they'll have to wait until the JK/British Relays etc and see what happens then.

me and marky bown were discussing the endless possibilities that would have resulted in a gentleman like draw. i said if that happened it would result in a huge game of british bulldogs on that car park to decide the direction of the title.
then again brownie would have then gone and kicked the [nope] out the lot of us

saying that i guess half of the EUOC don't know where it originated
of course it would have nothing to do with a porn shop in gotheburger!

it started with King Arthur.
Lancelot was always getting lost when defending Avalon
Arthur would send him off to kill a bunch of heathens that were marauding across the borders. Lancelot would invariably get "lost". Meaning he actually snuck off up to Guinivere's chamber for a bit of thrashing around in the thicket.
All Arthur new about this was that Lancelot wasn't killing barbarians because the peasantry decided to complain about getting spliced and diced by big hairy barbarian types.
Arthur was unbelievably gullible and never suspected that Lancelot was doing his missus behind his back. Accepting Lancelot's story that he hadn't a clue where he was supposed to be going to Arthur comissioned the very first ever orienteering map - Ye Mappe of Avalon.
The map and the kingdom of Avalon are now lost (ironic isn't it) in the mists of time.
but the legend lives on
as of course does orinteering.
the toughest athletic discipline known to man, where the knights and knightesses of the forest do battle for honour and glory (and occasionally a nice mug).
