There are 15 of us from DVO going having booked our Easyjet flights the day the cheap tickets were announced a couple of months ago. We've also got decent hotels overlooking the Grand Canal on one side and St Mark's Square on the other - look on the Best Western hotels website.

I wonder what the state of the tide will be that day?! I've had to paddle through the streets before now.

Anyway, should be fun.

I went last year - it was great fun. Luckily the weather was nice. I've heard of people getting quite wet and splashing lots of bemused tourists before.
