Hiya,
Hope the courses were enjoyable, if a bit short, by the look of the times. What I was wondering was, if anyone can be arsed, can they tell me their routes through the hilly bit on the east side of the area? Bascially, did anyone go around the hills, or did you all just beast it over the tops? I'd be interested to know. When I timed the two options, they were only about 10s different, but I guess I must have used less energy going around the bottom.
Cheers,
Luke.
PS. And anywhere else in the course if you've got nothing better to do. Students....

i went straight on all but 16-17 where i went round. i'm a slow runner though and was taking it a bit slower to make sure i got them cleanly.
i wish i'd gone on the path to the north on 19-20 because i ended up going too far left/south and lost a lot of time.
should have taken the route past number 12 to get from 8-9 too, i lost a lot of time by going SE from 8 on the paths.
other than that, not too bad from me.

me and scott both went straight on them all, but were really hesitant at places. reckon that would have been quickest if had been more confident with my 'straight is great' technique!

I ran Men's B, and made the mother of all silly route choices out of number 14. This was located at the bottom of a large gully running down a steep hill. After punching number 14, and without even bothering to look at the map, I went straight back up the gully. Only back at the top did I then realise that the only sane route choices to number 15 were from the bottom. That act of blatant stupidity gave me an extra 25m of climb - yeowch!
After number 15, still nearish the bottom, I didn't particularly want to spend much time faffing around on the hillside, so I headed pretty much straight back up.

I was [nope]ed because i didn't see a contol circle (no 18) because it was slightly obscured by all the path detail...and my colour blindness...rest was good though. BTW. some fastest splits are not all shown in the emit results...as i'm not there
