to take it away from discussion and more into banter:

can't imagine there'd been many complaints, there has been better (or worse depending on how you look at it) club names over the year. Yer Maws OK (truely inspired) & Beaver Reivers for example. There are also some other classic club names in this country from proper clubs - SLOW & LOG especially. Any others?

Yeh, no-one would complain that much about AberdeenStaffordSkipton OK :wink: I think you really should try and make it a real closed club G

That's because they are members of their respective federations.

You can run as ASSOK, you just have to pay the BOF registration fee and organise some events.

Not many clubs which have been made up like this have lasted more than a few years though...

There were complaints about KNOB and they had to change their name to KNOBOC, which still says KNOB, so that was a bit pointless.

I recall HAVOC Wrap getting banned back in the 80s. But I've seen it since.

And FUCCO claimed to be pronounced few-show, as in fuchsia. Don't see it myself.

not certain about this but didn't Rhys FR take ASSOK from a real club he spotted on the NWJS tour last summer in Norway?
