picking up from some boring discussion topic...
which legends of rock have you seen live ?
I count among mine
SLF
The Smiths
Dylan
and Kylie - Ahh. No. Actually it was that utter twat in the papier mache head that sang "I should be so lucky" with a broad Lancastrian accent.
Easily confused though.
legends wot I missed the opportunity of seeing
Thin Lizzie playing in Avesta Sweden when I was staying with my mate Jens - summer '85

As Brooner says it does depend how you define the legendary status but sticking to a fairly strict definition i'd include radiohead, pulp, rage against the machine, green day and oasis on my list (even if oasis have been pish post the masterplan). Pretty mainstream but there you are.

Fire Engines, supporting U2 in a now defunct Edinburgh nightclub. Not inverse snobbery, I like Fire Engines I do not like U2, but having said that they put on an awesome set.
Clash at the old Odeon
Kraftwerk at the Playhouse.
And of course The Fall several times in several places.

okay i'll play then.
mainstream:
rem & manics at glastonbury,
radiohead in their big tent tour,
pulp at roseisle,
smashing pumpkins,
martyn bennett,
primal scream
oh, and the proclaimers at t in the park was pretty damn guid too.
more underground legends:
sonic youth, fugazi, shellac
i saw the fire engines at new year and although they were good it was only really davey henderson who still had any punk blood left in him, the others looked like they'd come straight from their day jobs for the fat farewell paycheck

Blimey Kitch - you are in such a bad mood - slagging off in every thread - wot's wrong - it is Friday afternoon you know
(remember, they'll all be laughing at what you think is cool in 30 years time too!) Doesn't mean i'm going to keep my mouth shut
and you did ask. - (At least you've heard of them)

R.E.M,
Red Hot Chili Peppers,
Foo fighters,
Queens of the Stone-Age,
Feeder,
Bon Jovi
...would be the top bands I've seen. Though if I scrape up enough money to go to Witness this year then I'll get to see James Brown!!

I want to walk up the side of the mountain, I want to walk down the other side of the mountain. I want to swim in the river, lie in the sun. I want to try being nice to everyone.
