If only I could orienteer like Stella Lewsley. Think trophy is a great idea. Would love it to be on run in, Would there be a handicap and would men and women compete against each other. Some club at last years Scottish was having great run with their competition and I think Mrs H was one of the noisiest.

Oooo I wonder who you are - yes itr was us (me) making all the noise at the Scottish last year contesting the HOC HOG (Headband of Gory) which the winner had to wear the following day! Mr H. was a little guilty of loitering immediately before the last control as he is v. fast on the sprint (shame about the rest of the course) The only time I beat Hocolite was on that incredible long run from the last control (last day?) when you had to jump the stream, cross the bridge, climb the fence etc. etc. a whole adventure race is one run -in (Mr H. actually hurdled a fallen granny in a blood lust dash for the line)

Well I suppose I could donate The Mrs H. Memorial Toilet Brush Trophy but what about all these short course trophies that will be surplus to requirements now that BOF has decided that they are not worth the time to present - after all you don't get much shorter than a run in competition do you

Run-ins, always good fun - it's amazing how many good orienteers you can beat on a short finish split

the toilet brush sounds amazing. it would go well with the lovely trophies we had at the weekend. no one really got it at all. it was quite funny with people looking absolutely bemused. and someone saying that it was the worst trophy he had ever seen. i loved it. and i doubt bof would be feeling too generous towards us at the moment

I will donate a suitable trophy. Lets show the sport how it should be done. Maybe our own prizegiving each night as happens in europe. I assume winners will be able to stay anonymous, keep Mrs H wondering. Its great to be anonymous, people with some authority in the sport may be able to put their views forward which normally they would have to withold.

Well for all of us student types, looks like BUSA could be Round 1 . the control descriptions are up on the BUSA website, and the Men's A and Women's A/Men's B have the same run-in. Fairly short at 130m - any estimates on winning split?? about 20 seconds?

okay - this is what I will offer - Mr H. - who appears on telly with his woodwork - a sort of hairy Handy Andy - will make a suitably mounted (wooden) toilet brush as one of the trophies to - be presented no sooner than the JK - but this busa business has got me worried - once again us over 21 will not be able to take part - how is this going to work in reality. I expect to be allowed to present the trophy myself to which ever class it is awarded to.
Steler - if you win it what are you going to do - come up with a paper bag over your head - you obviously know me - so I expect I know you - very intriguing.
Samsonite - what have BOF been saying to you - nothing they havn't said to me I expect.
