Yes, i agree it would have been really interesting, and having a 5 man really would show which teams have more depths...however, UKRL should be about orienteering relays, not about standing around at the start working out which is the best route for people to get random extra controls. it should just be about orienteering. maybe they could have it as normal orienteering courses. with 3 people on first leg for each team, this would actusally give some kind of relay spectacle which we have never had, then last two legs as normal. that would be fun.

I would probably suggest 2 people on each of the first twolegs, and then one man final leg. This would mean a far closer run race until the final leg. Especially with spectator controls, this would involve tactics and excitement!!
Now, I know you're a feminist, and I think that's adorable, but this is grown-up time and I'm the man.
