Just drawing you attention to the first ever Martin Hyman Memorial Hill race taking place near Edinburgh on Saturday 24th June.
Ex-International athlete Martin helped instigate the British Orienteering Squad in the 1970s and saw orienteering going from strength to strength. Martin supported athletics, hill running and orienteering throughout his days and one of his lasting legacies is the Orienteering Athlete Support Fund which has supported hundreds of athletes over the years. This hill race is firstly a remembrance of a great soul, one which many will sorely miss, and secondly an opportunity to raise donations for the fund which aims to continue delivering on Martin's wishes.
