I got a reply from fdg.viaggio a few weeks ago. I was enquiring about the shuttle bus service from Vieste to Bari at the end of the champs and they told me departures would be starting from around 14:30 on the Saturday. I would assume there will be a service in the opposite direction in the days before the start of the races.
I read that there will be a desk in the terminal.

Re: WMOC 2022
David, the buses from Bari are really long, and not that frequent. The buses from the airport announced on Bulletin 2 save hours on the journey and have no changes.

Re: WMOC 2022
You need to email fdg.viaggi@fergargano.it (the email address given in Bulletin 2) and ask if there are any places left on the "athletes bus" that they have organised from Bari Airport to Vieste departing 12:30 on 8th, and returning departing Vieste at 07:30 on 17th. Cost is 80€ return per person.

Re: WMOC 2022
I sincerely hope it is NOT returning on the 17th a few hours before the long final.
Mind you thatg would be about right for the organisation that is being provided.
I think I am dreading the event buses during the week as they unsatisfactory most years that I have used them even when the organisation appears to be better than this lot does.

I notice that the cheap and quick bus advertised in Bulletin 2 has in fact disappeared from the Bulletin!!!!!!!!!

Bulletin 2 (page 31) wrote:Bus transport timetable
Detailed Bus timetables will be published in June, at the Event Centre and on the website.
Has anyone found them? Will there be any system to prioritise people with early start times or will everyone arrive when the busses start running to make sure they get to the event on time?

Re: WMOC 2022
Thanks.
However, the newsletter raises a new problem for Saturday arrivals; the event centre is now shutting at 18:00, an hour earlier than in bulletin 2, so if flights are delayed, we are more likely to need to collect acceditaion bag at the qualifier. I hope that the bus management staff are not going to enforce "to board a bus to forest models and events, you need your number bib which is in your package", otherwise we are stuck.

Re: WMOC 2022
I believe that you will be able to sort this out at the bus departure point. I'll check and give a more accurate answer later but I'm sure that you won't be left behind!

Re: WMOC 2022
If you are too late to accredit tomorrow, then go to the WMOC bus stop in Vieste on Sunday where there will be a desk. If you've pre-paid for bus tickets, then you can pick them up there. If not, you can buy them there also.
The rest of the accreditation process then takes place in Peschici at the SQ arena.

Re: WMOC 2022
Fantastic results from yesterday's WMOC 2022 Sprint Final held in the old town of Vieste. FIVE Golds for team GBR in M45 (Nick Barrable), M60 (Graham Patten), M75 (Peter Gorvett), W45 (Sarah Rollins) and W90 (Eileen Bedwell).
Sarah-Jane Barrable completed a family podium double with Silver in W35 and Allie Wilson Craw won Bronze in W65.
This all means that GBR is second in the unofficial medals table, our best results ever at WMOC:
SWE 5 4 6
GBR 5 1 1
FIN 4 2 1
NOR 3 4 3
SUI 2 2 3
LTU 2 1 0
DEN 1 1 2
FRA 1 1 1
BEL 1 1 0
ITA 1 0 0
AUT 1 0 0
Sorry about the formatting - is there a way to format lists properly? The numbers represent Gold, Silver and Bronze medal totals respectively.

Re: WMOC 2022
1st time for me at the WMOC. I was at the World Veterans in Strathspey in 1994 as a 15 year old so that doesn’t count!
Really enjoyable week so far.

Re: WMOC 2022
Car thermometer said 31.5 degrees by mid-afteroon, but not quite so hot while we were running. Much cooler today at 700m above sea level.
