Sprint TrailO on the old mines of the English Peak District! We have lots of contours for you in a TempO-style format, but we've increased the penalty to 60s to give you a bit more time to think. Complete the course anytime between now and the end of Saturday 18th April BST. Have fun!
Planner: Matthew Pickering; Course checker: Tom Dobra
Hurstwood was the venue of the recent 2018 SHIs and is a heavily contoured moorland area. It has the potential to be one of the UK's best areas for TrailO and so we were lucky that the Pennine Way runs through the entirety of the area and is covered by street view images.
There are six stations, and 5 problems at each station. At each station a street view image is presented with six flags. For each problem you are given an excerpt of an orienteering map and must say which flag corresponds to the control circle, or none of them at all. The goal is to be fast but accurate, there is the significant penalty of 1 minute per incorrect answer so make sure to read the map closely!
