If £3.75 is someone's biggest concern at the moment, I envy them. For it to be any kind of concern at all suggests they have yet to grasp the gravity of the current situation.
Following the cancellation of the JK we have had a stream of very supportive emails (thanks). As many of you will have seen we offered 90% refund, meeting competitors halfway - it isn't a full 100%, but nor is it the ~75% we'd probably be looking at for British Orienteering to break even. Nevertheless I did get one angry customer demanding a full 100% refund, threatening section 75 consumer credit act (or more strictly it would be a 'chargeback') just on a single sprint entry worth £15, so quibbling over £1.50. Despite best attempts to be diplomatic and reasonable, you have to accept that not everyone sees the big picture.
As far as I am concerned you should keep as much of the entry fee as you need to cover costs. I believe this is often added to entry notes.
Anyway I'll not be reclaiming the entry fee - its been spent and I don't need it now - no more events to enter for a loooong time
