Hi, Everyone
A reminder that entries for the British Middle Distance Championships close a week today - at midnight on Tuesday 27th August.
Details of the event can be found here: [url]http://www.britishmiddlechamps.org.uk/page/home

An updated version of the Final Details will appear shortly.
I was on the area on Sunday, there's virtually no undergrowth and it's very runnable with terrific views towards Kinder from the Start.
I'll provide some thoughts on the planning rationale later.
Look forward to seeing many of you there.

Anyone know what has happened to the start times? They were there earlier in the week.

I hope people enjoyed their courses.
An explanation of the mystery dams and fences can be found in my comments here:

It's also worth looking at the photos to see how the weather changed during the day - linked from the event homepage.

Re: British Middle Championships - entry deadline
I generally think that lack of comment after one of my planning efforts means all went well. On that basis you must have had an excellent event. Seriously, never having been to Chinley Churn before I found it interesting (if tough after running the previous day) The Low line out and the quarry needed careful reading of the features and the moor had the potential for increasing the speed ( if you werent in the clag ) Sadly I committed a basic error and forgot which wall I had just crossed which cost me time and what little energy I still had so a bit slow at the end. However a good day out , from comments in the club tent, seemed to be the general opinion.
