Gold for Emily Benham Kvåle and bronze for Clare Dallimore just 4 seconds off silver today at the World MTBO championships sprint race in the city center of Viborg Denmark.
The pace was fast on the closed cobbled streets of the old town with decisions needed every few seconds and very little time to plan ahead at all. Emily back after a year off to have her first child carried on from where she had left off with a very solid technical performance always up with the pace and pulling ahead as the others made small misses during the course. Clare was right up with the pace through the first half until a small route choice error and little confusion left her back a little bit a good strong finish say her come into the finish in second behind Emily but the final finished piped her by 4 seconds for the the silver.
Also racing were Joanne Pickering coming in in 36th doing her first Urban style sprint event ever it took a couple of controls to get into things but then she was coping very well. The only M21 competitor was Ian Nixon coming in in 41st in a very fast field.

And a third for her in the long. Very impressive results and superb consistency.

And yet another, her 4th gold in the mass start race, finishing just seconds in front of a small pack, or should I say peloton. She also led at every live results control.
