Good news: Neil Bricknell has created an Android version of Event-O which is available from the Google Play store. I think this link should work:

Re: New Orienteering IPhone App
Meanwhile... I have been continuing a long-planned project of my own to create an iPad based fixtures app.
I should perhaps say first that it's not my intention to tread on the toes of either Event-O or events.info (from which I drew considerable inspiration), and I hope that what I've done is sufficiently different to stand alongside them.
My app (which provisionally carries the snappy title "Orienteering Events UK" - can't say it's not descriptive!) is now in what I'd call a "prototype" stage - all the moving parts work, but it will need some tidying up if it's to go public...
... and that's really what I want to gauge - is there an appetite for an iPad app to go alongside Event-O? (It's iPad only at the moment because first, it's a bit too space-hungry in its present design to sit happily on a smaller screen, and second because I have iOS devices here and not Android . For any Apple geeks out there, yes, it may come to macOS too later!).
I don't want to go into too much detail here on features - for a fuller description and screen shots, please see https://sidewayslook.co.uk/articles/orienteering-events-uk-an-app-for-ipad/ but here are some highlights:
- Multiple filters (searches), selectable at will, allowing filtering per club/region per event level
- "Favourites" list that can be printed out
- Option to add your own notes to an event
- Show distance to an event from present location or a given post code (per filter)
- show route to event in Apple Maps
- add event to calendar (with default start/end times settable according to day of week)
- and as a bonus, view your last 50 results and ranking score
If there's no demand, it will remain my personal project; before going through all the faff (and expense!) of getting it onto the Apple App Store I'd like to sure there will be a reasonable number of takers...
(Constructive) feedback welcome!
