British Long Champs Kilnsey
I see the Tour of Yorkshire Day 4 route goes through Skipton and Kilnsey - do we need to allow extra time to get to Assembly/Start area on Sunday?

Yes, you may need to allow extra time to get to Arncliffe. We expect the roads to be busier than normal - particularly up Wharfedale due to spectators - many may be on bikes.
We are advising that you arrive by 11.30 to avoid most of the traffic (see final details when they go up on the BOC website).
As for the actual race, it actually only travels up the main Wharfedale road between Threshfield and Kettlewell (it approaches via Embsay and Burnsall). It's due to arrive at Threshfield approx 2pm and have started going up Park Rash by 2.30, so our correspondance with TdY suggests that the road will only be officially closed between 1.30 and 3pm (ish).
Note however the race caravan will pass along the route about 12pm though (It's my understanding that the road will not be closed for that)
A further consideration is that the TdY sportive is also taking place on Sunday 5th, running from Leeds, then out up towards Pateley Bridge round the W of Harrogate and then returning over Greenhow Hill, Otley and back into Leeds. These roads won't be closed, but there will be a lot of bikes - so if approaching from the E (Harrogate direction) or NE Leeds, there may be some local traffic due to that.

I presume the little road from Arncliffe to Malham is open at all times? Certainly slower than coming through Kilnsey but more predictable perhaps.

In final details they are requesting not to approach Arncliffe from Malham

I really hope they are not using Emit for the London marathon!
Is there any chance that the overall combined results will show all the classes & not just the elite?
