Thought that steaming was meant to be better, cos when you boil them the good stuffs goes into the water they are boiled in...

I actually find it increasingly difficult to persuade chippies to deep fry mars bars these days in Glasgow.
It is easier to get this in the smaller Ayrshire towns; they even deep fry malteesers and jaffa cakes

Steaming is best. Or even shallow, light stir fry.
Frozen veg is often better than fresh if you are a poor student and can't get to a decent shop.
Once vegetables wither they lose their vitamin content. Eat fresh or frozen.
Lard (how should I know?)

Now I've seen everything - advice on steaming vegetables from a man who in his youth could eat his own height in pizzas, but used to leave the salad on the side of his plate.
