Every four years the international railway sports association holds an orienteering competition, and it's coming up later this year in Belarus (23rd-27th September 2019).
I'm looking for team members interested in joining the GBR team. There are two age categories - M/W21 and M/W45. I'm particularly keen to find people for the 21 age category.
Eligibility for the GBR team includes:
employment by
- a train operator or infrastructure operator
- a manufacturer or supplier to the rail industry
- an industry stakeholder like DfT, ORR, RSSB, etc
or being a spouse, partner or dependent of such a person.
Please contact me ASAP (before Easter) if you're interested, or know someone who you think might be interested / eligible.
Also, if anyone has orienteered in Belarus, particularly near Brest, I'd be keen for any feedback or map links.

Re: International orienteering, Belarus - rail industry team
Hi, I asked our member from Minsk.
The website of Brest orienteering club. All maps would be around Brest.
http://okbrest.ru/karty/
This one has maps and information for all of Belarus. Everything that says RG is a map. The 31 map. in the first column are recent maps used in the competitions near Brest a couple of weeks ago. I haven’t looked at the rest of the columns.

Generally, the area is very flat, the forest is quite bushy, you can expect wetlands and also a lot of various trails and forest roads.
