I've just had this question from a keen young orienteer... does any other club do this? What is the copyright position?
"I'm wondering about running some lamp-o style score events on OS maps. 60 and 90 minutes options and clues to answer rather than lamp posts.
Do orienteering clubs have the right to use OS extracts?
From my point of view, I have a subscription to OS online so I have easy access to the maps - I'm just wondering what hoops we need to jump through, if any, before we can print them.."

Re: Use of OS maps
What sort of scale and detail do you want ?
I use Open O Maps as the base for mine, save as pdf then plan in Purple Pen (free) as it supports the use of pdf map files. I use scale as 1:10,000 or 1:12,500, A4.
If any corrections are required, update in Open Street map (easy to register) then wait up to 24 hours for changes to be auto-replicated into OOM.

Thanks but I think they already use that for urban areas... they are wanting to use rural areas... a bit like MBO I think.

Re: Use of OS maps
It might be worth you talking to someone from MDOC. They run "countryside score events" on OS map extracts -

Sounds to be the sort of thing you are thinking of.
