Has anyone volunteered yet to host the Harvester this year?
I'm willing to organise it (subject to securing a suitable area in the SW) if no one else has stepped up yet.

Has this kind offer been accepted? After 40 years of Harvesters it would be a shame to miss a year. FVO are doing 2020. 2019 Harvester listing no longer in the BOF fixture list!?

Re: Harvester 2019
Ultimately this might be an example of there being too many events in the calendar such that Associations reach saturation point. The British Orienteering Event Scheduling Group allocate the date for the race each year as it is their role to coordinate a calendar of events. Unless someone then comes forward to host the race then the date eventually falls to allow clubs and Associations to then arrange their regional and local races.
It is possible that if a club or a group of committed individuals come forward that the Harvester can still be run; it might now have competition as other events have taken the date allocated. The offer at the start of 2019 appeared to have been made without considering an area or the local club that owns that area. I do not believe there was any resistance from the club involved; they just needed more information but the offer appears to have been withdrawn before this was forthcoming.
