Routegadget UK down
Is anyone else having problems? It was working this morning, but now I can't access www.routegadget.co.uk, and the individual club site (www.xxx.routegadget.co.uk) only load partially.

Should now be fixed, or at least back to where it was earlier today. There is a separate problem about leaving off www that I am trying to sort out.

Re: Routegadget UK down
Not down but definitely unusable.
When I load my GPS route and then have to do a lot of editing (often the case in urban areas), Routegadget seems to get progressively slower and less responsive as I go along adjusting my route until it becomes unusable. Very frustrating if I've carefully edited my route and am 3/4 if the way round.
Is it Routegadget or my pc?
It is actually much quicker to draw my route by hand rather than first loading my GPS route and amending it.

Highly likely to be PC, probably just a lack of RAM, or maybe an older browser? Worth updating browser / trying a different one.
I would assume the website doesn't send any/much data to the server until you've finished the route and hit the submit button.

Re: Routegadget UK down
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble, and this isn't an issue I've heard of people having before. I'm not aware of any changes that have been made to the drawing system recently, so all I can really do at the moment is second Andy's recommendation of checking you have an up-to-date modern browser, and perhaps to test on another browser to see if the problem persists - I think it's unlikely to be your actual PC hardware (unless you have a very old system). It could possibly be related to having other programs running at the same time, but that is just speculation.
As an aside, I am aware (and have informed Simon) about issues with the SSL certificate on https://www.routegadget.co.uk/# (and maybe other RG2 sites) - we will try and rectify this as fast as possible
Nothing is sent to the server until submit is pressed

Re: Routegadget UK down
I'm using a new laptop. Miriam has exactly the same issue with her new laptop.
We were both using Microsoft Edge.
I've just tried again via Google Chrome, and I had no problems.
Then went back to Microsoft Edge and it was really unresponsive.
So it looks like a browser issue.
Thanks!
