Just returned from this year's Tamar Triple which, together with last weekend's British Champs/Relays, made a really great pair of weekends.
Two world class terrains (Exeter Uni campus and Braunton Burrows), plus pretty good weather, high standard of competition, mapping and planning made Saturday's battle with the M5 totally worthwhile.
There was quite a bit of car park debate about map scales too. I'm not one of those pushing for 1:7500 for older competitors (and fail to see why it was necessary for Balmoral) but I definitely appreciated it for yesterday's Middle race at Braunton ... although I'm not putting my 20 mins of mistakes on the Long course purely down to the 1:10000 scale we used on Sunday!
Many thanks to the organisers, planners, controllers and helpers for putting on such an excellent show
Are there any plans for Routegadget?

Re: Tamar Triple 2018
Very nice indeed.
I couldn't read the detail so well on the 1:10,000, but with so many bumps necessarily left off for clarity I'm not sure that using the smallest that were on would have helped me go faster.
Either way, I can't see any rationale for having different scales on the two days, when we were doing essentially the same thing (long course winning time sub-42, then a middle 46) on the same sized area.
