For those inspired by last weekend's activities at Tio, remember that the UK has its own little brother equivalent - the Harvester. This year sees the 40th running of the event which will take place on June 23/24 in Tilgate Forest, Crawley in Sussex.
This is the weekend after Jukola so plenty of time to recharge head torches and to recover from both the Finnish relay and/or the party boat.
The event centre is just a few miles from Gatwick airport and this year we can offer an indoor event centre with posh toilets and showers. There is also a range of pubs, shops, cafes and takeaways within walking distance of the camping area.
Entries have just opened on Fabian 4 and further details (including provisional leg lengths) can be found on the SO website
https://www.southdowns-orienteers.org.uk/events/tilgate-forest-2018-06-24
There is also a runners bank available if you want a run but your club isn't sending a team, or your club needs an extra runner or two.

Re: Harvester Relays 2018
SN are holding an urban race at Staines on the Saturday afternoon before the Harvester, so for those heading south around the west side of M25 just a short detour.
