Re: recycling
I was told no...after the S6D Moray 2013 I had the most massive heap of extra printed maps to dispose of and they became landfill as well as notepads.

I just tried and mine went in the blue bin fairly easily with no resistance whatsoever.
Of course it might clog up the machine when it gets to the recycling centre

Re: recycling
Freefall, we will happily take all your excess maps off you. Might even discuss a small fee - our club are being green and printing our training & night race events on the back of old, spare waterproof maps....

Re: recycling
Thanks for the comments, i do use spare maps for printing other stuff and as notepaper but you still have to dispose of them sometime. I suspected they were not recyclable.

I think they are still biodegradable and you can of course light the fire with them.
I recently took a few spare maps to experiment printing on them to see if they were a more eco friendly alternative to all the laminated notices that go up round our village. They are generally only required for a few weeks and yet they will last for eternity in land fill - but I haven't got round to doing it yet! If it works I might launch a campaign - perhaps I will call it "Laminate Lament" or " A Poster is just for Christmas - Not for Life!"
What do you think?

I think it’s nice to have you back on AP. Have you been in holiday or just detoxing?

Mmmm! More likely the Russians competing as the Athlete Formerly Known as Mrs H!
My AP account for this week would read: Went to the open air swimming pool twice and did a few lengths. Cleaned the windows. Thought about recycling maps to make posters for the Horticultural Society. Looked at the Allotment.
