Is there a modern map of Blairadam ?
Just been there for a jogette & the terrain looks quite good.... lots of contours & lots of old trees.... I did run there many moons ago (before the opencast mine) and remember it being a grotty bit of forest so it's taken a long time to go back

The last event I can recall was an MTBO at the 2009 Scottish 6-Days, the map was updated by Steve Nicholson, but he would have only done the trails.

Re: BLAIRADAM FOREST MAP?
It's a KFO map, and they don't have many events. It would be a handy place to have an decent area...
The mapped area in the east had a pretty bad reputation, and I ran around the unmapped western bit and that was even more unpleasant. But that was 15 years ago, so maybe it has opened up a bit? Which bit were you in?

Re: BLAIRADAM FOREST MAP?
Parked at the Forestry bit north of the road... car park is about 1km.
I was surprised at how nice it was... from the paths anyway.
