Re: British Sprints and Middles Photos
Thanks for going to the effort of taking and posting these excellent images. The one of Greywolf and Martin Ward from the middle-distance has been used for our local press (and also our FB page) with photo credit happily added.
Makes such a difference when you're not at the event and are up against press deadlines when someone posts quality images so promptly to go with almost real-time results. It's really appreciated and helps promote our sport no end. I'd also acknowledge Brian Ward (@BrianWard62) who Tweeted links to his Flickr albums. One of his went off to the papers too.

What I don't quite understand is why Martin punched the finish 10 seconds after Greywolf after such a close sprint finish.
Thanks Wendy. I appear to have only just got the better of the M70 I was racing on the run-in.

Yes, I don't really understand what happened there either. Having overtaken Dave Peel on the first part of the run-in I thought it looked like I could overtake Greywolf as well - I was probably just about level with him as we each punched at the finish. I just slapped the SI box (not too hard - I'd read the final details!) and then put my SIAC to my ear to check it had registered. Apparently it hadn't - no beeps at all - so I had to go back and manually punch the finish line box about 10 seconds later. Grrrr.
Martin Ward, SYO (Chair) & SPOOK.
I'm a 1%er. Are you?

Yes - you were 2s faster on the run-in. I guess I'd have had you 20 years ago! It was all in vain however as, like Buzz, the engine of my two carriage train missed a control out whilst the carriage didn't . The train was rejoined again at the next control ...
