Just back from Porto - an excellent weekend of races. It never ceases to amaze me how many 'non orienteers' they attract for these races including a night event. I spoke to the organiser and said it was very doubtful if could we get many non orienteers to try urban races let alone a night event in a park starting at 2030 - He said they never mentioned the word 'orienteering' when 'selling' the event - just "City Race' or 'City Challenge'
Food for thought?
