Does anyone know whether this event is taking place in Edinburgh as listed on the BOF fixtures database or in Livingston as listed on the SOA website urban league page, as nothing is listed on Interlopers website?
Will it be an urban race or two separate sprint races?
If there are pre-entries which host will be used?
Now to start working on the family about how nice it can be to visit Edinburgh in October!

INT website says
Livingston is excellent for sprinty stuff. Hoping they manage to get a decent urban kids course (with due regard for BOF safety stuff of course). The SOUL at Cumbernauld was a fantastic vets course but a bit disappointing for the U-16s to have a TD3/4 course all in an uninspiring bit of country park.
The INTrepid Weekend
The much anticipated Intrepid Weekend is planned for 28/29 October this year. It incorporates SOUL 10 in Livingston and SoL 7 at Drummond Hill in Perthshire.
Livingston has been previously used for the JK and provides and excellent venue for fast and furious urban orienteering.
Drummond Hill provides some classic Scottish forest terrain, compete with large hill.
Get the dates in your diaries! Details to follow. Robin Galloway.

It's Livingston. Start and finish at Deans school, complete with swimming pool etc. You can also watch the Junior Inter-area Relays on adjacent Dechmont Law.
Although we have used the school many times before, the vast majority of the course is on newly-mapped, previously unused terrain with Livingston's typical schemes, alleyways, cutthroughs etc. It's a section I only just got round to doing, every bit as good as what we used before.
Planner is Murray Strain, who some say knows what he's doing Junior course is properly urban too, avoiding interaction with traffic.
You know you want to

And further to all the above the courses are generally full urban length: c.10km actual distance for Men's Open and standard fractions of that for others. They are more sprinty in style than some urbans as that's what suits the terrain best.
Junior courses are on the shorter/sprintier side (2.5-3.5) as some kids might want to double up with the JIA relay.
We look forward to seeing you all there
