Does anyone know the contact details for print5?
The email address I have couldn't be found and their website seems to be down.

We stopped using Print5 soon after the Hallidays moved north as we found their maps to be of lower quality than previously. We changed to Hassall and Lucking.

Thank you, I managed to contacted Hassall & Lucking and BML for prices. Our usual printer is increasing their prices and I wanted see what others charge.

Gramp uses either Stirling Surveys for bigger events as they provide the best quality, or Let's Talk Print from Dundee to do some of their simple A4 printing (for small local events, we supply them with the pretex waterproof paper and they will print direct from PDF. You just need to be careful to make sure not to bugger up the scaling when saving pdfs.

Hassall & Lucking have been supporting the Elite Sprint Group (a training group of international sprint orienteers based in the UK) for the last couple of years by providing us with free map printing on our training camps.

We use Elgin and Inverness based http://www.a4inverness.com. They currently only print from PDF, but the owner is an orienteer and they have a large stock of pretex. If enquiring, ask for David Ritchie. They are BOF approved and among others printed the maps for Culbin last Oct, (incl a SOL and a relay) and Scottish Night and Sprint this Feb.
I have to say that the print quality at the Trossachs last weekend was poor, with print quickly rubbing off at folds and where one has gripped it firmly. It is why we moved away from that printer a few years ago and also why they have had to buy a new printer and hike prices.
Printing from PDF does put a bit more pressure on the planner.

I should have said that A4 Inverness also printed most of the training maps for WOC 2015.

The last event I organized (Northern Night Cup at Roseisle last Nov) we closed entries at 9am on the morning of the event. Dave printed the exact number of maps off that day and brought them along to the event. Great service, although I doubt he could provide that to every club in the land!
