The news article about the forthcoming AGM was posted a couple of weeks ago. It's here.
Firstly, the AGM is a great opportunity to celebrate success, and to thank volunteers throughout the sport, through the Volunteer Awards. Please nominate the people you think are doing a great job for your club or association! The deadline for nominations is Friday 10th March.
Secondly, the AGM is an opportunity for members to stand for election to the Board. Each year the membership elects two of the six member-elected directors on the Board. This year Judith Holt and I are at the end of a three year term, meaning that we both stand down. Judith is standing for re-election, but I am not (having come to the end of my third three-year term). The deadline for nominations is Thursday 23rd February, just over a week from now. So, step forward!

Re: British Orienteering AGM 2017
Do mappers nominate themselves for the map awards? or do punters nominate maps they thought were good?
Anyway, I thought the Kenfig map was fantastic. Just the right amount of smoothing/simplification to make it really really clear. It's not often I say to myself 'wow this map is great' while I'm out on the course.
