We were parked next to the prize giving and I overhead them say "Banchory" a couple of times.

Fancy holding a selection race one week into the new academic year for schools.
Not much time to drum up interest.....unless your teacher's into the sport and is on the ball....

Only teams and runners who ran at Scottish Schools in June can run this race, so not such a problem as you mention.

So you drum up some school interest, get them to the June event and then.... oh wait.... you guys have a nice holiday and I'll try grab your attention the first week you're back in your new term......
