As leg 3 starts I imagine the first aim of many is to get back with or before Koovee, so your Leg 4 can catch Mr Kratov's night train.
There is lots of time coming and going even for very good runners, so still early days, but at the moment a few fancied teams are at risk of missing, and Lillomarka (Dane) may well be on it.

Re: Tiomila
Doug isn't getting a position at the intermediate splits. Looks like TuMe leg 2 mis-punched

Re: Tiomila
Yes looks like TuMe out of it tonight.
Meanwhile Dane may start leg 4 in the lead for Lillomarka.

Great to see Dane battling it out at the front.
I'm following the results fine, but is anyone else having trouble getting the (paid for) TV working? Only just paid for it but nothing loads up, when I click play. [tried over mobile and wired internet, same result]

I got nothing with Chrome, but in IE it's working great. HD pictures, no lag, good production.
Got to love the way Dane had a 2 minute head start, but went back to the start triangle to wait for some others to join him before starting Long Night.
Leg 3 to 4 is epic - 5km!

Re: Tiomila
Half way round Long Night, and the lead pack of 5 has dropped one, but Dane is still in there in 4th. A pack of 3 is then 3 minutes behind, and then the Kratov train (he's picked up 13 people) is 5 minutes behind.

Went out in 82nd, came back in 76th. Solid.

Re: Tiomila
As leg 8 ends I claim a good job of picking top teams (the 8 are in the top 9, with the 9th being Järla) but getting in order proving a much trickier challenge. Several could win. The TV is following Olav Lundanes for Halden. My fingers are crossed for SNO.
Fine run by Ralph - impressed by the end of leg interview being in Swedish.

Re: Tiomila
So what happened to Halden (Olav Lundanes) on Leg 9? He was leading at 4.8km but then never made it to 6.6km. Injured?
Three teams together towards the end of leg 10. Thierry seems to be leading them through the thick green stuff a few controls out, but it'll be down to who can run fastest through the meadows and ski runs approaching the arena...

Very close sprint finish! Eskil Kinneberg had it until 20m from the line and Jonas Leandersson managed to out sprint him for a SNO win.

Re: Tiomila
TuMe DQ'd when Esa Huttunen's torch broke and he stopped to fix it at a control but forgot to punch.

Re: Tiomila
So Ralph has a well deserved Tio winners medal. Which other Brits can say the same?
In the men's class I can think of Dickie Jones, Jon Duncan & Dan Marston.
In the women's I remember Heather Monro sprinting to glory in 2002. I think Yvette may have been in a winning Baekelagget team in the 90s but not certain on that.
Have I missed anyone?

Colin McIntyre has won it twice, 1989 and 1990 with OK Tyr, Stan Hale was also in the 1990 team.
