Entries open for the final weekend of the bto Scottish Orienteering Urban League which comprises a sprint distance and terrain middle distance race on the Saturday and a classic urban race on the Sunday. Its a brand new map of what should become a classic urban area. The variety of terrain is amazing on what is an A1 size map at 1:4000 when fully printed.
(dont worry this time you will get an A3 double sided map - but maybe sometime in the future there'll be a Long Urban race here with a 3k long leg across the map...)

There's already been one long leg planned on the Cumbernauld map Andy, this one I made for Tessa last year.
Cracking area for urban/sprint even if the architecture is less than inspiring! Get involved, you won't regret it. (Even if there are a few fewer fences than on the above map).

Nice one Murray! Yes, no artificial fences for the STAG race although there was a police cordon up on Saturday morning when Terry was out taping. #crimescene

Am I missing something ?
The only possible route I can see into 35 is from the E i.e. from off the map extract shown.

Index contours are not uncrossable.

Got it. The contour wasn't my problem, it was a narrow passage, possibly covered, where I read the OOB green as "bleeding in" from either side.

That's one complicated leg. I think I'd probably have spent as long trying to work out the route as running it!
