Re: EYOC Starts Tomorrow
Problems for Pippa on the first leg. Any word from the forest? Was it just technical or an injury?
To oblivion and beyond....

Pippa fine physically, just a few technical issues to reflect on, Buzz... She'll be good for tomorrow's Sprint

I'm following it but am a bit bog-eyed after following the Dragon's Back all week...

Some fluctuating fortunes, the last leg runner for Sweden in W18 went out with a 9 min lead to come back in 5th. Technical?

Re: EYOC Starts Tomorrow
Congrats to GBR runners achieving UK 10th M18, 21st W18, (unconfirmed results), with a high standard being set by experienced and fast runners at the front of the races.
Yes it's early on a sunny Saturday here, slightly dreamily following liveresults: some ups and downs for the runners today it seems, people doing well who did not so good yesterday and vice-versa, wonder if that is fact of relay pressure or just natural ups and downs from one day to another, Ingrid Lundanes takes Norway W18 from 6th to silver on last leg, how common is that surname, musing that mass starts are a bit more spectator friendly, for that reason and also perhaps more importantly runner experience, perhaps a pity that we don't seem to have so many of them in UK. How many head-head races have our juniors had a chance to do in their careers, is it more than a handful? (I know Alex Carcas was in INT's winning JK Trophy team this year.)

Looked really tricky from the old map, vague marshy green bits with 'spikey' bushes.

Yup, can confirm that the terrain was as tricky as it looks, with lots of potential for time losses. Not many packs today because of it...

The Scottish relays are a pretty respectable opportunity.
Here, for example, is Alex's little brother leading out Hubmann, Kyburz, Hertner, Rollier, Kaas etc.
English club or regional teams would be very welcome to join in next year!
Coming soon
