3.1.3 Minimum separation times between seeded runners must be applied as follows:
Sprint: 1 minute
So if the starts are at 1 minute intervals there is no need for seeded separation?

Correct, but in the Middle race it is a minimum of 2 minutes between seeds.

It would be interesting to know, other than the elite, what seeding process has been applied for the Middle ?

I would love it if they were! What I would really like to see is a British Sprint Champs organiser decide that all the Finals in each class should be the same size at the A Final.
So the top six (or less, depending on class size) finishers in each Heat for a class would go into the A Final, positions 7 to 12 would go into the B Final, positions 13 to 18 into the C Final, etc. People who MPed, were DQed or otherwise failed to record a valid time in their Heat would be banished to a Z Final.
Of course, there is no reason why this should mean extra courses: the B, C, D and E Finals could run the same course, but for the purposes of Championship results (and allocating UKOL points), everybody in the C Final would be placed below all the finishers in the B Final, regardless of relative times between the Finals.
This would have the great advantage of making the Heats relevant for everyone, instead of the meaningless warm-up jog they are for most people in most classes when you know that positions 7 to 31 in your class in your Heat will all be going through to the B Final.
The biggest problem would, I think, be getting the seeding fair across heats lower down the field: it's generally not too difficult to put six top seeds of about the same standard in each heat, but it's much harder (and there's often less evidence to work with) when you are trying to get a consistent quality in the 25th-30th seeds.
