Re: EYOC
Leg 3 Finish
W16 Fiona 6th (+11 overall) another good run from Fiona - one of the fastest leg times
W18 Sarah 9th (+12 overall)
M16 Aidan 9th (+26 overall)
M18 Joe 12th (+34 overall)
So W16's lead the way again - well done Pippa, Emma, Fiona

Re: EYOC
On M18 one of the popular routes from 4 to 5 was back through the start - wasn't there another thread here that suggested courses ought to be planned to avoid this?

They went by the start kite, but it looks like the actual start was about 100m to the south along the track. None of the competitors will have gone through the start area where other runners were waiting.

A GBR junior wrote:EYOC was a great experience and I'm really glad british orienteering sent out a full team this year, good to see all the 16's show promising results. Doing big international events like this are great fun and really inspire and motivate you in this sport, it will be good to see if a full team is sent to JEC this year! Felt like my preparation for EYOC this year was only about 70% due to the constraints of exams/A-levels. But to get a result like that in the long distance is really motivating to train harder!
